Lilly's Wedding Quilt is the second in Kelly Long's A Patch of Heaven series.
In the first of the series, Sarah's Garden, we met Sarah, Grant, Lilly, Jacob, and many more family members and neighbors. This book opens with Lilly on her way to Sarah & Grant's wedding, only to be detained by a rainstorm and running into Jacob in a barn. Lilly has loved Jacob since they were in school together, but Jacob has loved Sarah for years. I never thought of the Amish as being impulsive, but these two strong-willed and ready to do just about anything.
I love the passion that Kelly Long writes in her stories. I had always thought that courting was so bland and so-so, but Jacob and Lilly's life together is full of sensation, passion, and is still a wonderful, Christian read. I can't wait for the third in the series, "Threads of Grace."
